So Remember the last time I updated you guys about this drawing and said "I think I'm ready to stop doing tests on photocopies of the drawing", well I lied. I decided I needed to practice more on the side of the car and on the tires.

Kinja'd!!!

This is the image I've been drawing off of:

Here's my newest test drawings:

What's your goal exactly?

To draw an accurate depiction of the light and shadows within color (I've never done that before). But not necessarily Photo Realistic

Usually I start with lighter colored stuff. After I'm done, I put the darker colors. This way, you can cover the fuck ups with ease. I would use hi quality markers on small drawings to get the details. I use paint when I work on a big scale drawing. In my case, I feel that I have more control with some Acrylic paint.

I tried using the copics, but I didnt like the blending. So that why Im using pastels

Works good, but doesn't fill all the paper if you don't press it hard. This is what I hate, I try to be light with the touch.

Why? Art is to be done in your way. I'm not the one drawing it. It doesn't need to be 'perfect'. What matters is, Does it satisfy you?

I kinda like that, it allows for a more fluid gradient and more editing
